MINORS:

• If ID or documents are not provided - service will be declined or the appointment will be rescheduled.

• We do not pierce infant’s ears. The youngest average age for a lobe piercing at DI is 7-10 yrs.

• It is taken into consideration that every minor is different as to when they are ready to consent to be pierced or tattooed. Scheduling a consultation appointment may be required before an appointment is made for the procedure. Keep in mind that appointments for piercings are scheduled for 30min. each.

• A piercer or tattoo artist will not proceed with a procedure if the minor expresses that they are upset, they cannot sit still without any sudden movements, or they are not wanting to continue with the procedure for whatever reason, etc. Precautions to avoid a needle stick are taken into consideration during a procedure. The procedure will be stopped at any time during the appointment if there is any concern about the safety of the minor or piercer / tattoo artist.

• Each Tattoo Artist / Piercer at DI has their own policy and age restrictions regarding minors.

ID requirements:

• The custodial parent or legal guardian must be present and have a current government/state issued photo ID or current Passport.

• The minor must have a current government/state issued photo ID, current Passport OR a birth certificate accompanied with a current school picture ID, school internet profile picture, yearbook photo, photo on parent or guardians’ phone, etc.

• Last name and address on ID of parent or guardian must be the same as the minors ID/document or have legal documentation as to why it is different (custody / adoption papers, marriage certificate, divorce papers, mail addressed to the minor, etc.)
